The best way to celebrate the anniversary of this agency - and almost every other federal agency - is to close it.My guess is that these folks will pay more for a party for the 6 commissioners and their employees than the $200K that they took in penalties during the last fiscal year.

Team of government bureaucrats can't decide to serve bagels or doughnuts. Their collective response: Serve both! Bet the same decision making process and analysis was utilized by the Romans in the waning days of their empire.

Wait a minute, we got away without having an FEC for the first 190 years of our existence? Great, get rid of it. It isn't stopping Democrats from raising foreign cash for campaigns anyway.
