Research suggests that YouTube and many of its contributors are doing little more than glamorizing binge drinking and alcoholism, without direction any attention at the damage excessive alcohol consumption can cause. Young adults and adolescents are particularly likely to be swayed and influenced by what they see online, which had led health campaigners to renew calls for a more accurate, balanced and common-sense approach to the depiction of alcohol use online.
