Dynamic Robotics Laboratory is currently working on a two-legged robot: ATRIAS or Assume the Robot is A Sphere. It is expected to be the fastest bipedal robot of the world. The primary objective of the robot is to work with rescue teams during disasters. Researches took the idea of this robot from the quickest bi-pedal creature of the Earth: chickens. The feet of the robot are composed of lightweight carbon fiber that store mechanical energy.
