Women More Prone to Develop Anxiety, Depression after Heart Attack

According to new research, women are more prone to develop anxiety and depression after a heart attack than men.

Major depression is an important predictor of disability and poor quality of life in 18% of cases inm the year post MI. Patients with depression are six times more likely to die within six months after an incidence of MI as compared to patients without depression.
