Verisign, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRSN) jumped 11.42% on Friday following earnings beat. The company said that its second-quarter net income increased to $100.18 million or $0.71 per share as compared to $86.89 million or $0.55 per share, last year. Adjusted net income for the quarter came in at $95.97 million or $0.68 per share. Analysts had predicted profit per share of $0.64 for the quarter. Revenue for the quarter was $250.38 million, compared to $239.33 million, a year ago. Analysts were looking for revenue of $251.69 million for the quarter.
