White bread consumption linked to obesity

LONDON: People who eat more than two portions of white bread daily are at 40% increased risk of being obese compared with those with its low consumption, a research presented at the ongoing European Congress on Obesity has found.

In this study, researchers aimed to evaluate relationship between white and whole grain bread, and weight change in Spain where white bread is a major part of the diet.
