Which Three Oscar Categories Are Basically a Lock After Today’s Critical Awards?

Awards season is in full swing this week with a number of critical associations awarding their top prizes. Today alone, the New York Film Critics Online, the Boston Society of Film Critics, and the LA Film Critics announced their winners at the same time, on the other side of the pond, the charming underdog Pride dominated the British Independent Film Awards. It can be a chore for any filmgoer to track all these critical awards and unclear what it all means when it comes to the big prize: The Academy Award.
