Wendy's today said the number of restaurants nationwide were hit by thieves who stole customers' debit and credit card numbers is "considerably higher" than originally thought.
The problem started last fall, the company said in a statement today. The Columbus-based chain had disclosed a month ago that its computers had been infected by malware. Today, the company gave details on the locations and offered help for customers who may have been affected.
