Fast food chains like Wendy’s are willingly removing soda from the choices on kid’s menu meals, in an effort to teach the growing generation that it probably isn’t best for your toddlers to guzzle a soda. Now they will need something else to help them wash down the fried chicken nuggets and oil-soaked french fries. Let’s not pretend that this somehow makes Kid’s Meals a good choice, but it is a step in the right direction. By eliminating the sugary drinks from the menu for children, they may eventually develop healthier eating habits and have lower risks of developing diabetes.
