The juggernaut Homeland has picked up a lot of baggage since it first aired in 2011, and whilst the paranoid relationship between CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and ex-marine Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) was addictively complex, its plot is getting messier than ever as it moves into season four.

Just like Mad Carrie (we’re sure she knows telekinesis), the CIA isn’t quite holding it together post 9/11 and is snooping within its ranks more than ever since their returning hero Brody was exposed as a rat and promptly shagged by their top operative.
