Dr. Rocco Orlando, senior vice president and chief medical officer at Hartford Hospital, has been training staff and demonstrating the equipment for the past several days. The goal, he said, is to ease fears many people have after the news first broke about Ebola patients in Texas.
“People are right to be concerned, but its just a little too much concern right now,” he said. “We want folks to know that we’re ready and they don’t need to worry. We have been doing non-stop, 24-hour training exercises over the last couple days.”
