Wall St. Opens Sharply Lower on Unease Over China and Greece

Stock markets in the United States and around the world suffered further big declines on Friday as concerns grew over the Chinese economy and renewed uncertainty over Greece following the decision by Alexis Tsipras to resign as prime minister.

KEEPING SCORE The Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.89 percent, and the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index dropped 0.86 percent. The Nasdaq declined 0.91 percent.
