Is walking women's best heart medicine?

17th February 2015 – Middle aged women who take part in physical activities such as walking, cycling, housework and gardening can cut their risk of heart disease, stroke and blood clots compared to women who are inactive, say researchers.

The study by a team from the University of Oxford says that 3 sessions of strenuous exercise each week that makes the heart beat faster and causes sweating reduces the risk by about 20%.
