Lauren Book, who prepares for her 6th ‘Walk in My Shoes’ event, opens up about her horrific childhood experience about being sexually abused by her female nanny for over 6 years. She aims to help other people learn more from her personal experience, and prevent childhood sexual abuse, as well as help survivors deal with it.

“It’s so important to know that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. However, we know that 95% of sexual abuse is preventable with education and awareness,” Founder and CEO of Lauren’s Kids, Lauren Book, explained.
