Waking Up During Surgery Could Cause PTSD

A study has come to the conclusion that waking up during surgery could cause PTSD as the patients are more than shocked of what is happening. The patients are terrified to see their bodies cut all over and doctors and assistants concentrating on their work look like shadows to the waking patient during the operation.

“I could hear the surgeon telling his trainee to ‘cut deeper into the eye. I was screaming, but no one could hear me. I felt no pain, just a tugging sensation. I tried to move my toes or even push myself off the operating table, but I couldn’t move. I thought I was dying.”
