Volvo Cars has announced plans to open an assembly plant in the U.S., their first, in order to potentially increase sale, according to The Associated Press. The North American plant would cost an estimated $500 million, and help strengthen Volvo in a new push by the automaker in the U.S.
According to reports, the automaker has ideas where to potentially build the assembly plant, but has not revealed their short list of locations as of yet. That announcement is expected to be made in the next few months.
