YAOUNDE, Cameroon – Authorities in Cameroon say the wreckage of a small anti-poaching plane that disappeared over forested, mountainous terrain nearly a year ago has been found along with the remains of its American pilot.
Quetong Hardison, a government official, told The Associated Press by telephone on Tuesday that hunters and farmers discovered the crash site of the Cessna 172 several days ago. Hardison said documents found there confirmed the identity of the pilot, Bill Fitzpatrick.
