Vice to produce daily news show for HBO

Vice Media, the company that owns the namesake magazine and a digital news site, said Thursday it has partnered with Time Warner's Home Box Office to produce a half-hour news program.

In the four-year deal, Vice's daily newscast — five half-hour shows a week for 48 weeks — will be shown at an undetermined time slot on HBO and streamed to HBO's recently announced stream-only service, HBO Now. The show will start in the "fourth quarter" this year, Vice said.
