Dish Network and cable channel operator Viacom said Thursday they've agreed to a new multi-year content contract, avoiding a blackout of Viacom’s channels for 14 million Dish customers.

As part of the agreement, Viacom will offer some of its networks on Sling TV, Dish’s “over-the-top” streaming service that offers live TV channels over the Internet for a monthly fee.
