Viacom CEO Dauman, board member Abrams removed from Redstone's trust

Sumner Redstone, the ailing 92-year-old media mogul who owns a controlling stake in Viacom Inc., has removed two business associates, including Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman, from his trust, opening the latest chapter in an ongoing battle over his estate.

Dauman and George Abrams, who's been a member of Viacom’s board since 1987, were told by Redstone’s lawyer on Friday that they had been removed from Redstone’s seven-member trust that manages his business if he were to die or be judged mentally incompetent to handle his affairs.
