Using GPS tracking, researchers reveal unknown secrets about giant pandas in the world

If you had always thought that pandas are timid, solitary fellows, then you got another thought coming! A new finding published in the journal Mammalogy now reveals that this new study “was a terrific chance to get a peek into the panda’s secretive society that has been closed off to us in the past.”

Using GPS tracking technology, a team of researchers from the Michigan State University trailed five pandas between 2010 and 2012 in the Wolong Nature Reserve in southwest China after collaring them the electronic tags.
