US unveils $39m Chamber for testing Detection Systems against Biological Agents

The US has developed a chamber for testing the nation’s detection systems against biological agents. The $39 million dollar chamber was recently uncovered by the US Department of Defense at Dugway Proving Ground, a US Army facility in Utah.

The test for defense systems is intended for checking their efficacy to detect air-borne agents like plague, anthrax or ricin. Called as the Whole System Live Agent Test facility, the chamber has enough space to house two complete detection systems for comparison side-by-side.
