US seniors sicker than those in other nations, study says

American seniors are sicker and struggle more to get access to health care than their counterparts in 10 other industrialized nations, according to a Commonwealth Fund survey.

The survey, published Wednesday in Health Affairs Web First, compared the health care experiences of people 65 and older in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
