Researchers of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and University of Central Florida have found young sea turtles are very active swimmers, and they do not simply drift along with the current.

For this new study, researchers used solar-powered tags on 24 green & 20 Kemp’s ridley wild-caught sea turtle toddlers in the Gulf of Mexico.
