US Airlines Still Not Flying to Turkey After Failed Coup

Even with the Turkish government declaring Friday night's coup attempt over, the U.S. is still advising its government employees in the country to shelter in place, avoid unnecessary travel and not go to the Ataturk airport in Istanbul.

"We are still hearing reports of sporadic gunfire," the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, said Saturday in a security message to U.S. citizens. "Security at Ataturk airport is significantly diminished."
