UPDATE: Allegiant Air Uses Court Order to Head Off Pilot Strike

LAS VEGAS, April 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allegiant has reason to believe that the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 1224, representing Allegiant Air pilots, intends to initiate an illegal strike against our company. This irresponsible and illegal action by the Teamsters has been timed to coincide with the busy holiday travel period, and unfortunately, will likely disrupt flights and passengers in and out of all of our destinations.

We have activated additional call center staff, and Allegiant will be contacting affected travelers directly to alert them of this development and make them aware of available travel options.
