How do you steal 500 feet of cable on a subway track in NYC? Only under De Blasio's leadership could something like this go unnoticed.
A foot of copper is worth about a hit of crack cocaine, they will be back after 500 hits for more copper to pay for their addiction.

This sounds like SOP in Detroit. Half the street lights are out at any given time because somebody has stolen the wires. They steal aluminum siding and storm doors off of occupied houses.
Cities like NYC, Detroit and Baltimore are turning into 3rd-world countries. Primarily because their "progressive" governments want to ape Brazil and Venezuela and emasculate the police, empowering and in favor of criminal gangs.
So, how much was the cable worth to the thieves?
How much could that cable possibly be worth? 1-2k?
Why not legalize meth now-in the interest of fairness and equality??It's the progressive thing to do! Thanks, a copper dealer
probably would've sued the city over it... :)
The NYC subways run on 600 volts at unlimited amperage. The circuit breakers, if any, are set far above the 500 MA needed to electrocute a vandal.Dontcha wish these punks had gotten fried ??? That would be just comeuppance for a day's train delays.

In the photo it looks like two actual workers doing anything useful to get the system running again. The rest look like supervisor/manager types chewing the fat. No sense of urgency here!
Inner city residents are paragons of virtue, PLUS they vote Democratic!!!!
Some men walk in with 500 feet of copper, and no one bats an eye. Business as usual in NY.
