Unpredictable Dwarf Galaxies Found Orbiting the Milky Way

The Milky Way galaxy now officially has new neighbors. Nine dwarf satellites including three tiny galaxies in orbit were spotted around our home galaxy by astronomers at the University of Cambridge in the skies of the southern hemisphere. The galaxies were found near the Large and Small Magellanic Cloud is the two largest and most well-known dwarf galaxies in orbit around the Milky Way.

An excerpt from the book, Beyond Imagination by Baldwin, Gibson and Thomas states: “Our entire Milky Way galaxy is just a spot, a blip, barely worth noticing.” “It is really a large number of stars that are too faint and close together for the eye to see clearly.”
