UN worker taken in Central African Republic day after militia kidnaps 2 humanitarian workers

BANGUI, Central African Republic – A United Nations official says a Kurdish female staffer has been kidnapped in Central African Republic.

The official said the anti-Balaka Christian militia kidnapped the staffer Tuesday morning in Bangui. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to speak to the press, said a Ugandan colleague who escaped told them about it.
