Will Mayor Ed Lee and San Francisco strike out, or head to first base? It now appears to be up to "Star Wars" creator George Lucas. The conventional wisdom seems to lean toward a win for the City by the Bay, and a trip back to the dugout by the Windy City, but Lucas isn't tipping his hand.
"We won't speculate on potential sites or their specifics," Lucas spokesman David Perry said in a text message late Thursday, the day Lee offered Seawall Lot 330 to contend with Chicago's lakeshore parking lot near Soldier Field.
