U.S. Teen Births Are Declining as More Teens Start Using Birth Control

On Tuesday, the U.S. government released a report, according to which the trend of using various forms of contraception is gaining traction among teen girls, but not so much that it raises the general statistics on a national level.

Since 2005, when approximately 1 percent of teenage girls aged between 15 and 19 used contraception, that number has risen to 7 percent, according to the report issued in 2013 by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
