U.S Survey: Packaged grocery foods contain dangerous amounts of sodium

The findings published in the journal of Preventing Chronic Disease, may help explain why more than 90 percent of Americans eat more sodium than recommended.

More than half of packaged grocery store foods included in the new study contained too much added salt. It is important to note because, excess salt is a risk factor for high blood pressure which is the leading cause for heart disease and strokes.
