U.S. Successfully Launches Two Surveillance Satellites

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida saw the successful launch of two military satellites. The payload was carried by a Delta 4 rocket. The rocket was built by United Launch Alliance. The 63meter tall rocket blasted off at 2328 GMT. The rocket also carried a secondary satellite that will be used to carry out engineering tests. The details about the costs of the satellites have not been released.

The launch of these two satellites were scheduled for July 23rd but the launch had to be delayed first due to some technical issues and then again due to bad weather conditions. The purpose of the satellites is to keep an eye on other countries’ spacecrafts. Besides they will also keep tabs on orbit...
