U.S., Japan Take Precautions After Threats to Ambassador Caroline Kennedy

WASHINGTON—The U.S. State Department said Wednesday that it is working with Japanese authorities to ensure the safety of U.S. diplomatic personnel following reports of threats against the U.S. ambassador, Caroline Kennedy.

Japanese police said they are investigating phone calls to the U.S. embassy in Tokyo in which a caller threatened to kill U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, the Associated Press reported.
