U.S. fines Corinthian Colleges $30 million

The for-profit Corinthian Colleges has been fined $30 million by the Department of Education for misrepresenting job placement rates for graduates.

The department found that the Corinthian-owned Heald College, based in San Francisco, misled prospective students.
