U.S. bombs 2 terrorist groups in Syria — ISIS, Al Qaeda 'veterans' planning 'imminent attack'

The U.S. carried out two airstrike attacks: One targeted ISIS fighters with the help of Arab allies, and a second, solo bombing battered Khorasan, a group of former Al Qaeda fighters planning an ‘imminent attack’ on the west. Casualties from both strike campaigns were not immediately clear.

Unleashing 47 Tomahawk cruise missiles, the U.S. bombed two terrorist groups in Syria Tuesday: ISIS and a second group of Al Qaeda veterans who posed an “imminent" threat to the West, officials said.
