U.S., allies bomb Syrian ISIS near Turkish border; 13 civilians killed since airstrikes started, activists say

U.S. coalition-led warplanes dropped bombs on ISIS fighters near Syria’s Turkish border Saturday, the first time the group has struck the area since the campaign started Tuesday. At least 13 civilians have been killed in the five days of bombings, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

BEIRUT — U.S. coalition-led warplanes struck jihadis attacking a town near the Turkish border for the first time Saturday, as well as positions including wheat silos in the country's east, activists and a Kurdish official said.
