U.K. Labour Party Suspends Lawmaker After Sex Text Allegations

Britain’s main opposition Labour Party suspended Simon Danczuk, one of its lawmakers in the House of Commons, after a newspaper report that he sent sexually explicit text messages to a teenager.

The Sun newspaper said Danczuk, who represents Rochdale in northwest England, sent the texts to a 17-year-old who contacted him seeking a job. Danczuk, in a post on Twitter, said the article, “while not entirely accurate, refers to an extremely low point in my life.”
