(Bloomberg) — Tyson Foods Inc., the largest U.S. meat producer, plans to close two prepared-foods plants as it shifts output to more modern and efficient factories. The company’s Chicago factory supplying the hospitality industry and a pepperoni plant in Jefferson, Wisconsin, expected to stop operating in the second half of Tyson’s current fiscal year, which ends Oct. 1, 2016. The moves will affect 880 people—480 in Chicago, according to a statement from the Springdale, Arkansas-based company. More to come.
