Tyson chicken recall: Institutional customers warned of salmonella contamination

Tyson Foods, Inc. issued a news release for a voluntary recall on approximately 34,000 pounds of uncooked mechanically separated chicken on Jan. 10 which was also announced by the USDA – United States Department of Agriculture.

The chicken products involved in this recall are absolutely no danger to the general public. The chicken is not sold in retail grocery stores or sold to restaurants. The chicken Tyson produced have confirmed illnesses from their product from correctional facilities.
