Turkish fighter jets bomb Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq

ISTANBUL – The Turkish military says fighter jets have carried out strikes against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq.

Four F-16 jets bombarded the region of Zap, destroying shelters, caves and ammunition depots used by the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK.
