Tropical rain forests absorb more than half of carbon dioxide emissions worldwide: Study

A new NASA-led study has revealed that tropical rain forests are absorbing more carbon dioxide (CO2) in response to rising atmospheric levels of the greenhouse gas.

According to NASA researchers, the amount of CO2 these forests are absorbing is around 1.4 billion metric tons, which is more than half of the total 2.5 billion metric tons absorbed worldwide.
