Transportation museum builds Wright gas station

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A New York auto museum is ready to take the wraps off a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed gas station that didn't make it off the drawing board during the architect's lifetime.

The Buffalo Transportation/Pierce-Arrow Museum will open the filling station on Friday, more than 11 years after acquiring the 1927 plans from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona.
