A Tower Cost NASA $349 Million But Turned out to be of ‘No Use’

NASA built a tower structure in Mississippi costing it around $349 million but NASA closed it without even using it a single time. The space company had plans to use the tower to conduct A3 tests but they didn’t use it and instead closed it. NASA also has to pay around $ 700,000 per year for maintenance of the site even if they don’t make any use of it.

The tower was initially built for Constellation program that was initiated earlier by NASA. It might also have been used to test the engines of rockets.
