Tourist economy booms in Cape Cod as holidaymakers try to catch a glimpse of the great whites

The great whites are bringing in big business for the seaside town Chatham in Cape Cod as tourists arrive in large numbers to try and catch a glimpse of sharks in search of grey seals. Coin-operated binoculars are strategically places on the beaches of Chatham for tourists and vendors are earning good money as they sell their shark-related merchandise.

The findings published last month revealed an increase in the number of great white sharks since 2004. From just a couple of them being spotted, they have tracked nearly 20 more to date.
