Three moons cast shadow on Jupiter simultaneously

Jupiter attracted the attention of astronomers in the early morning hours of last Saturday when an uncommon celestial event unfolded involving three of the huge planet's four biggest moons.

Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto are four biggest moons of Jupiter, and three of these moons, viz. Io, Europa and Callisto cast their shadows on the planet at the same time early Saturday morning, starting with Callisto's coming between the Sun and Jupiter.
