The three Lone Wolves of Michigan’s Isle Royale might be the Last of their Kind

As with most islands, new animals to Michigan’s Isle Royale are very rare. During the cold winter moths there is an ice bridge to the shoreline, but not many wild animals venture over it. This limits the genetic makeup of the population on an island.

Just 6 years ago there were 24 wolves on the island, but the latest survey just reported their results showing only three have remained alive.
