Thousands Brave Singapore Downpour to Farewell Lee Kuan Yew

(Bloomberg) -- Thousands lined an almost 10-mile stretch of central Singapore in driving rain as the city bid farewell to first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, ahead of a state funeral that has drawn dignitaries from around the world.

Lee’s body left Parliament House in a gun carriage procession that passed City Hall, the financial district and his own constituency. The cavalcade was marked by a 21-gun salute, an air force aerial salute and a naval sailpast.
