Monarch Butterflies were once a regular feature in this part of the world. Just two years ago they used to flock gardens of Cape May Point, but not anymore. And their catastrophic drop in numbers has left many deeply concerned, including Mark Garland of the Monarch Monitoring Project.

With the old days when thousands used to fly overhead in the locality becoming a passé, efforts are on to get to the depth of the story of monarch butterflies migration.
