They Call It A Cold For A Good Reason

Have you ever wondered why the “common cold” is called a “cold”? Don’t you usually get a fever when you get sick? But maybe it has nothing to do with what happens to you; maybe they call it a “cold” because that is the prime setting for the rhinovirus to get to work at replicating.

Apparently–at least, according to this new study from Yale University–the rhinovirus likes to replicate in lower temperatures.
